Barbara Ketch's history presumably mirrors that of her Earth-616 counterpart's up to the moment where she and her brother Daniel were fleeing criminals. After her brother was shot dead trying to get her to safety, Barbara touched the medallion on Daniel's motorcycle and was transformed into the Ghost Rider. She then killed the criminals but was unable to kill Deathwatch. Later, the Spirit of Vengeance within her tried to convince her to use her powers to kill, but Barbara was able to take control of the spirit and gained the Ghost Rider's full power.
