1966 Beano Annual

The 1966 Annual was the first cover listing its year of release. This is one of Biffo's only late appearances to not feature Dennis on the cover, who would soon inherit the throne of Beano cover star.

Never be without a Beano!

This Beano slogan helped promote and sell the comic until succeeded by "Everyone we know loves the Beano" in the 1980's.

Hello Billy Whizz!

Flying into the comic at Whizz Speed, Billy first debuted in 1964. Billy had several outfits over his years as a Beano superstar, but his most recent design brings back his classic outfit (although not in blue!).

Minnie the Minx

By 1966, DC Thomson artist Jim Petrie had taken over Minnie the Minx. He would go on to do exactly 2000 Minnie the Minx strips for the weekly comic!
